Technology Impact

This estimate assumes that to implement the provisions of the bill
one-time purchases of information technology would be made in the first
year. This technology would include a a high volume scanner, a
dedicated workstation for the scanner, and special software to create
PDF files for consistent formatting.

Fiscal Analysis

The bill would require the Supreme Court of Texas to include on its
website all materials and information relating to rules or forms
considered at public hearings including transcripts and correspondence
received in support or opposition to proposed rules or form. The bill
would also require the court to accept comments relating to pending
rules or forms electronically through the website.

Methodology

The estimate assumes that no additional staff at the Supreme Court or the
Office of Court Administration would be needed to maintain the new
information required on the court's website.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
