Local Government Impact

The bill would allow a home-rule municipality to adopt an ordinance
prohibiting criminal trespass within the limits of the municipality. An
offense would be a Class C misdemeanor. Administrative costs for
processing citations issued and costs of enforcement would be absorbed
within the municipality's budget as well as somewhat offset by the fines
collected. The fine for a Class C misdemeanor may not exceed $500.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
