Local Government Impact

The bill would add new requirements and restrictions for individuals and
corporations operating in the bail bond business. Impact to local
government would result in requirements for bail bondsmen and bail
businesses to file applications and deposits with the county treasurer
instead of the county sheriff, as is the current statute. Provisions of
the bill would also add to some of the regulatory duties of the county
bail bond board.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
