The bill would amend the Penal Code by making the offenses of places
weapons prohibited, and unlawful carrying of a handgun by a license
holder not apply to a principal or superintendent, licensed to carry a
concealed weapon. The bill would apply in counties with a population of
less than 20,000 and where the license holder is carrying a concealed
weapon on the premises of a school.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
