IN RE: HB2386 by Wilson (Relating to automatic admission to
graduate or professional degree programs at institutions
               of higher education.), As Introduced

The bill grants automatic admission to graduate or professional degree
programs to students who graduate from an institution with a bachelor's
degree with a grade point average in the top 10% of their graduating
class. No additional spaces would be added to these classes. If the
number of applicants entitled to automatic admissions exceeds the number
of spaces offered, a lottery would be held to determine who would be
awarded the space.

No changes are made in the number of persons selected for the programs of
study. Only the selection criteria are to be changed. Institutions may
realize additional administrative costs to implement the changes.
Therefore, no significant fiscal impact to general revenue is
anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
