It is assumed that any costs the Department of Health would incur
associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be
absorbed by the agency within existing resources. Hospitals owned by
local governments will be required to report annually summary
information on their charity care policies and on community benefits
provided. It is assumed any cost associated with this requirement would
be absorbed by these hospitals within existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
