               offense of misuse of the property or services of a

The bill would amend the Penal Code by creating the offense of misuse of
the property or services of a charter school.  The offense would apply
to a member of the governing body of a charter school who intends to
obtain benefit by knowingly misusing property or services obtained with
state funds.  Punishment would range from a Class C misdemeanor to a
felony of the first degree based on the value of the property or
services misused.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
