offense of extortion.), As Introduced

The bill would amend the Penal Code by creating the offense of extortion.
The punishment for the offense of extortion would be a felony of the
second degree unless the offense involves a threat which results in
evacuation, in which event the offense is a felony of the first degree.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
