Carter, Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: HB2706 by Reyna, Arthur (Relating to a legislative, vacation, and sick leave time bank for certain peace officers and firefighters.), Committee Report 1st House, as amended ************************************************************************** * No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** Local Government Impact The bill would allow peace officers and fire fighters employed in a county with a population between one million and 1.5 million to donate no more than one hour per month of accumulated vacation, sick, or compensatory time to the legislative time bank established and maintained by the governmental body in the name of a peace officer or fire fighter organization. The governmental body would manage the account, which would involve minimal administrative costs. No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
