The bill would take effect January 1, 2002. Methodology Each vehicle inspection sticker sold generates $5.50 to the State. It is estimated that 26,913 out-of-state registered vehicles will need to obtain a valid Texas vehicle inspection sticker each year to obtain a parking permit from a public institution of higher education. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. Source Agencies: 405 Texas Department of Public Safety LBB Staff: JK, JC, JN, DG
