Technology Impact

None.

Fiscal Analysis

This bill would direct the General Services Commission to partner with
private brokerage firms for the acquisition of lease space. The General
Services Commission would provide an oversight function of any leasing
arrangements negotiated by a private brokerage firm.

Methodology

The Comptroller assumes that by partnering with a private firm, there
would be a cost savings to the state by reducing the staffing of the
General Services Commission's Facilities Leasing Program. The
Facilities Leasing Program's revised duties would be limited to
oversight and management functions.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
