The bill would authorize a county commissioners court to hold an election
to allow voters the opportunity to approve allowing the county to
regulate manufactured home rental communities in the same manner as
other subdivisions.

Local Government Impact

A county that chooses to hold an election regarding regulating
manufactured home rental communities would incur the costs of the
election. Based on a the cost per registered voter for elections in a
sample of counties and cities, the statewide average is $0.91 per voter.
If the voters approve the county regulating the manufactured home
rental communities, the fiscal impact is not anticipated to be
significant.
