Assuming educational aide certificates would no longer be issued, SBEC would sustain a loss of certification fee revenue. Methodology SBEC issues 12,000 educational aide certificates a year, gaining net revenue of $5 off each one ($30 certificate fee/$25.12 issuance cost). Consequently, SBEC would sustain a net certification fee loss of $60,000 a year by no longer issuing these certificates. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
