The bill would authorize counties and municipalities to contract with a
vendor to provide access though the Internet to information and to
collect taxes, fines, fees, court costs, and other charges. The
counties and municipalities would be allowed to approve a reasonable fee
to be collected and retained by the vendor for providing the services.
The fees would offset costs for contracting with the vendor.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
