It would give the center broad authority, including providing services to victims and perpetrators of relationship violence; serving as a shelter for victims; providing educational programs, serving as a state and national resource; and developing programs, policies, and strategies to address the problem. Methodology Based on analysis by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, it is assumed that the minimum funding necessary to implement the bill would be $500,000 per year. However, given the broad authority provided by the bill, a larger amount could be used. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
