The bill amends sections of the Texas Education Code related to the
Instructional Facilities Allotment (IFA) and the Existing Debt Allotment
(EDA) to allow school districts to use any funds legally available to
meet the local share program requirement. The bill does not change
provisions regarding eligibility for the Existing Debt Allotment. This
bill would not affect the State's obligations under the IFA and EDA
programs.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
