This bill would transfer responsibility for responding to and cleaning up
certain oil discharges in coastal areas from the General Land Office to
the Railroad Commission of Texas.
It is assumed that all operating costs and full-time equivalent positions
associated with the transfer of powers and duties will be transferred to
the Railroad Commission.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
