The bill would authorize the creation of a coastal county conservation
district in a county that borders the Gulf of Mexico and has a beach
parks board. Provisions of the bill would allow for secure bond
initiatives as well as local tax assessments to support projects such as
sea walls, shore renourishment, sand dune protection, vegetation
stabilization, and erosion abatement.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
