Fiscal Analysis
The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission to
establish a grant program for a donor umbilical cord blood bank.
Methodology
The Health and Human Services Commission estimates the total grant amount
per fiscal year would be $3,400,000 annually in General Revenue funds.
It is assumed the contractor would maintain a special facility to store
specimens, publicize the services, and pay salaries from the contracted
amounts.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
