The County Court at Law of Aransas County would be created December 31, 2002, or on an earlier date determined by the commissioners court. A representative of the Office of the County Judge in Aransas provided information as to the expenses involved in creating the new court. The cost to the county would be $162,619 for salaries and $3,000 for supplies and training, for a total operating cost of $165,619 per year. There would be an additional one-time capital outlay of $2,500 for equipment in the first year.
