       IN RE:  HJR8  by Puente (Proposing a constitutional amendment
               relating to the election and terms of office of the
               judges of County Courts at Law Nos. 10, 11, and 12 of
               Bexar County, Texas.), As Engrossed

The joint resolution would propose a constitutional amendment changing
the election date and term of office for judges in Bexar County Courts at
Law No. 10, No. 11, and No. 12.  The judges in these courts would be
elected and serve a term in the same manner as provided for under general
law for county attorneys.

This proposed constitutional amendment would be submitted to the voters
at an election to be held November 6, 2001.  The amendment would take
effect on adoption by the voters.
