This constitutional amendment would allow school districts to donate
real property and improvements formerly used as a school campus. A
school district would be allowed to make the donation to a municipality,
county, or nonprofit organization.

Local Government Impact

It is assumed that school districts that donate property would consider
the costs of not having sold the property. Because the bill does not
require the donation of property, any loss of potential revenue would be
based on a decision made by the school district.
