Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
The constitutional amendment would allow a schoolteacher or retired
schoolteacher to receive compensation for serving as a member of a
governing body of a water district. Compensation for board members of a
water district board varies by district. The cost of compensation would
be borne by the water district.
