"Pete" Laney, Speaker of the House FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: SB115 by Madla (Relating to creating a foundation to finance health programs in the rural areas of the state.), Conference Committee Report ************************************************************************** * No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** The bill would require the Center for Rural Health Initiatives (CRHI) to establish a five-member board of directors for the Rural Foundation. It would also require the CRHI to submit a biennial report, no later than January 1, of each odd-numbered year, to the legislature regarding the activities of the center, the activities of the Rural Foundation, and any findings and recommendations on rural issues. According to the CRHI, the bill would not have any additional impact on its operations. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
