employee who is an emergency medical services

The bill would allow state employees who are Emergency Medical Service
volunteers to take up to 5 days leave with pay for training. Using
statewide data from Texas Department of Health, it is estimated that
fewer than one hundred state employees could make use of this provision
for leave.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
