The Department of Health estimates printing and mailing costs for 35,000
brochures would total $61,000 and these would be absorbed by the agency
out of existing funding for the Vaccines for Children Program. TDH
indicates additional resources would be needed at the local level due to
increased enrollment of providers and increased workload associated with
enrollment, training, and support. TDH estimates local costs, based on
eight local health departments, would total $290,824 each year to
implement the provisions of the bill. It is assumed the local health
departments would absorb these costs within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
