Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
A city or town that meets the criteria for conducting an election to
permit or prohibit the sale of beer and wine would incur the costs
associated with an election. Based on a sampling of calendar year 2000
cost per voter calculations for cities reported by the Secretary of
State, the statewide average per voter cost is $0.91. This bill would
take effect September 1, 2001.
