               enforcement of tolls on certain toll roads and toll
               projects; providing for civil and criminal penalties.),

The bill would allow the Texas Transportation Commission, a
transportation corporation, and the Texas Turnpike Authority to impose
and collect administrative fees for failure or refusal to pay toll
charges.  The bill would allow fees to be imposed and collected in an
amount not to exceed $100 for each event of non-payment to recover unpaid
toll collection costs.

The bill would make it a misdemeanor offense punishable by a fine not to
exceed $250 for an operator of a motor vehicle, other than an authorized
emergency vehicle to drive or tow a vehicle through a toll facility
without paying the proper toll.

This bill would take effect on September 1, 2001.

The amount of revenue and costs would depend on the number of violators.
