Local Government Impact
  
The bill would grant regulatory authority to certain counties for land
development in the unincorporated areas of the county.  The bill would
take effect immediately upon receiving the requisite approval vote by
two-thirds of the members of both houses or September 1, 2001. The Texas
Association of Counties was contacted regarding local fiscal impact of
the bill.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
