Technology Impact
The Department of Public Safety estimates that 1,584 hours of contract
programming at $120/hour for a total cost of $190,080 would be required
to modify the Online, Batch and Distributive Driver License Systems. In
addition it is expected to cost $29,000 for the driver's license vendor
to create the new license established by the bill and make required
changes to "restriction" formats. All costs would be one-time and occur
in fiscal year 2002 only.
