Local Government Impact
The bill would authorize counties to establish a purchasing credit card
program for use in making purchases of one or more items that would
require an expenditure of less than $25,000. The Texas Association of
Counties was contacted regarding the fiscal impact to counties. There
would be a savings in the cost for processing purchases that would meet
the credit card program criteria.
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
