Local Government Impact

The bill would authorize county purchasing agents to establish rules and
procedures for use of a purchasing credit card. Assistants to purchasing
agents would be authorized to make purchases with the county credit card
under the direction of the purchasing agent and must comply with the
established rules and procedures. It is anticipated that there would be a
savings in the cost for processing purchases that would meet the credit
card program criteria. The savings would vary by county, depending on
their level of purchases with a credit card.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
