Local Government Impact

To the extent that the Commissioner of Education authorizes any
professional staff to be employed by a master or management team, the
school district would pay these costs. Costs would be based on the
number of individuals to be employed, which would vary from district to
district. Also, a master or a member of a management team appointed to
serve on a board of managers could continue to be compensated as
determined by the Commissioner. Additionally, if a board of managers
ordered an election of district board of trustees, the expenses
associated with conducting the election would be borne by the district.
