The bill requires that the enrollment in magnet programs, academies, or
other special programs conducted at a high school attended by high
school students not in the special program be considered as a distinct
graduating class separate from the graduating class of the students
attending regular programs. The bill might change the enrollment
patterns of selected institutions. However, it should not change the
total number of students enrolled in Texas public institutions of higher
education. Therefore, no impact on the General Revenue Fund is
anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
