LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 77th Regular Session March 23, 2001 TO: Honorable Teel Bivins, Chair, Senate Committee on Education FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: SB752 by Barrientos (Relating to the application of the higher education uniform admission policy to graduates of certain special high school programs.), As Introduced ************************************************************************** * No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** The bill requires that the enrollment in magnet programs, academies, or other special programs conducted at a high school attended by high school students not in the special program be considered as a distinct graduating class separate from the graduating class of the students attending regular programs. The bill might change the enrollment patterns of selected institutions. However, it should not change the total number of students enrolled in Texas public institutions of higher education. Therefore, no impact on the General Revenue Fund is anticipated. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
