The bill would also require that TWC make computers available to the public at all of its field offices. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2001. Methodology The fiscal impact of the bill would be $1,000,000 of General Revenue in fiscal year 2002. DIR estimates that the additional funds would be needed to hire a consultant to review existing applications, develop a method of integration, and develop the application to integrate the existing state employment opening posting systems and DIR's web portal for the online capabilities that would be required by the bill.
