The bill would provide that the sheriff or other officer shall personally
serve a citation to appear and answer the application for guardianship
on a proposed ward's spouse if the whereabouts of the spouse are known
or can be reasonably ascertained. Further, the bill would provide
requirements for providing notice.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
