Local Government Impact
The bill would authorize a commissioners court in certain counties to
adopt rules governing infrastructure planning. The provisions of the bill
would establish the limitations applicable to regulatory authority for
planning. A municipality would also be allowed to regulate certain
subdivisions located in the municipality's extraterritorial jurisdiction
under Subchapter A of Chapter 212, Local Government Code, and the county
would regulate subdivisions under Subchapters B, C, or E.
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
