"Buster" (Relating to the procurement powers of certain navigation districts and port authorities.), As Introduced ************************************************************************** * No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** Local Government Impact The bill would authorize certain navigation districts and port authorities to use methods for purchases and contracts valued at $25,000 or more, in addition to competitive bidding, as outlined for school districts. Other methods include competitive sealed proposals, catalogue purchases, interlocal contracts, and design-build contracts. Eligible districts and authorities would experience a cost savings on purchases and contracts by having the option to use the most cost-effective purchasing method.
