authority of certain hospital districts to enter into or

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to prohibit the hospital
districts in Bexar, El Paso, and Nueces counties from entering into tax
abatement agreements on or after September 1, 2001. The prohibition
would extend to amendments to pre-September 1, 2001 abatement
agreements.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
