Local Government Impact

The bill would allow peace officers and fire fighters employed by the
state, a municipality with a population over 200,000, or a county with a
population over 500,000 to donate up to one hour per month of
accumulated vacation or compensatory time to a time bank established and
maintained by the governmental body in the name of a peace officer or
fire fighter organization. The governmental body would manage the
account, which would involve minimal administrative costs.
