LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 77th Regular Session February 28, 2001 TO: Honorable Frank Madla, Chair, Senate Committee on Intergovernmental Relations FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: SB964 by Van de Putte (Relating to a legislative leave time bank for fire fighters and police officers in certain municipalities and counties.), As Introduced ************************************************************************** * No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** Local Government Impact The bill would allow peace officers and fire fighters employed by the state, a municipality with a population over 200,000, or a county with a population over 500,000 to donate up to one hour per month of accumulated vacation or compensatory time to a time bank established and maintained by the governmental body in the name of a peace officer or fire fighter organization.
