The commissioner would be required to prepare a report regarding proposed methods for funding these courses, and the available methods of verifying student attendance. The report would be completed by December 1, 2002 and the program would end September 1, 2003. It is estimated that the review and selection of participating districts, the monitoring of the program implementation, and the construction of the final report would be contracted at a one-time cost of $150,000.
