LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 77th Regular Session April 18, 2001 TO: Honorable Patricia Gray, Chair, House Committee on Public Health FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: SB1085 by Harris (Relating to the continuation of the advisory committee on inpatient mental health services.), As Engrossed ************************************************************************** * No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** Senate Bill 1085 would amend Section 571.027, Health and Safety Code so that Section 2110.008 Government Code does not apply to the Advisory Committee on Inpatient Mental Health Services. This section of the Government Code addresses the duration of advisory committees. The bill also repeals Section 4, Chapter 1027, Acts of the 75th Legislature, Regular Session, 1997, which abolishes the committee on September 1, 2001. The bill would continue existence of this committee. Reimbursement for travel and related expenses for the committee is currently authorized in the General Appropriations Act. This action should result in no new costs or savings to the State. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
