Local Government Impact

The bill would add new requirements for individuals and corporations
operating in the bail bond business as well as add areas of authority for
regulation by the county bail bond board. Impact to local government
would result in requirements by bail bondsmen and bail businesses to file
applications and deposits with the county treasurer instead of the
county sheriff, as is under the current statute, and additional
regulatory duties.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
