"Buster" Brown, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: SB1219 by Bernsen (Relating to the share of the cost of a coastal erosion response study or project required to be paid by a qualified project partner under an agreement with the commissioner of the General Land Office.), As Introduced ************************************************************************** * No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** According to the General Land Office (GLO), there will be no significant fiscal impact to the state should the bill pass. GLO estimates that passage of the bill may reduce the total number of projects funded due to the increase in the percentage of state funds used for each project. Local Government Impact Local government officials with Galveston county and the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments indicated that this bill would be a savings for coastal counties.
