Local Government Impact

The bill would allow a school district to post notice for competitive
bids on the district's website, if they have one, in lieu of publishing
notice in newspapers, or for interlocal contracts, on the website of the
administrative agency created under the Interlocal Cooperation Act.
Provisions of the bill would also authorize counties to post notice of
competitive bids on their website rather than in the newspaper.
Electronic publishing would provide a small cost savings per posting.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
