The bill would amend the Penal Code by making the offense of escape apply
to certain juveniles detained in a secure correctional facility operated
by or under contract with a juvenile board. The offense of escape is
punishable as a felony of the third degree.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
