FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE: SB1331 by Brown, J. E. "Buster" (Relating to water and
energy saving performance standards and related labeling
               requirements for clothes-washing machines.), As
               Introduced

There would likely be some costs to the Natural Resource Conservation
Commission to maintain a list of certified clothes-washing machines
meeting water and energy saving standards. However, the agency would be
authorized to assess fees to recover such costs, and the amount of costs
incurred and fees assessed as a result of the bill's passage is not
anticipated to be significant.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
