Truan, Chair, Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: SB1425 by Truan (Relating to transferring the Office of Defense Affairs to the office of the governor.), As Introduced ************************************************************************** * No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** This bill transfers the Office of Defense Affairs from the Department of Economic Development to the Office of the Governor. This transfer would move three full-time equivalent positions and $1,343,540 in appropriations out of the General Revenue Fund for the 2002-03 biennium from the Department of Economic Development to the Office of the Governor. Included in these amounts is $1.0 million for Defense Economic Adjustment Grants for local communities. The Act calls for the transfer of total program costs, so there should be no significant fiscal impact to the state.
