IN RE: SB1536 by Madla (Relating to the creation of pilot
projects for demonstrating the application of technology
to the provision of long-term care, community care, and
certain other medical assistance.), As Introduced

The bill would allow the Health and Human Services Commission to
establish one or more Medicaid pilot projects to demonstrate the
application of technology in the provision of services. According to the
bill, a project could relate to long-term care, community care and
support, rehabilitation, care for the aged or disabled, or other forms of
medical assistance.

Potentially, a pilot program could have fiscal implications, however, it
is assumed the pilot would not (1) increase the number recipients
receiving services, (2) increase the level of services, or (3) increase
the level of reimbursement for services.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
