LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE, 77th Regular Session May 15, 2001 TO: Honorable Robert Junell, Chair, House Committee on Appropriations FROM: John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE: SB1650 by Bernsen (Relating to certain state agency expenses incurred during a state or federal declared disaster.), As Engrossed ************************************************************************** * No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. * ************************************************************************** Based on this bill, travel expenses incurred by assigned personnel and related to providing disaster assistance would be exempted from a state agency's travel cap. Similarly, any temporary personnel hired to provide disaster assistance to political subdivisions, would not be counted against a state agency's cap on full-time equivalent positions for as long as the disaster field office remained operational. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
